Dear Intimacy,

What would you have me know today?

today i did not feel like drawing. but i did. betty edwards is asking us to practice perspective drawings, starting with 1 point perspectives. i am finding out perspective drawings are not my favourite. i even find myself skimming over her words so i can hurry up and finish reading about perspective drawings. i know! this is the opposite of what betty is trying to teach me: drawing is meant to help me slow down and really see the world around me.

miles is always writing scripts for plays or tiny books. we did publish two books with blurb books, however, he recently decided that he wanted to try making the actual book (not just creating the words and illustrations) himself. so, he made a tiny book based off a book his grade 3 teacher is reading to his class.

margot is learning to read! and with learning to read, comes learning to spell. so she created the rainbow in words.

my rushed 1 point perspective drawing of our upstairs hallway. tomorrow is 2 and then 3 point perspective drawings! (sigh)

the perfect story, entire book (including the hardcover design) made by miles

the rainbow, with hearts (my favourite shape too)! that tricky green word!
