What would you have me know today?

we spent the month with my dad (at times living with him!), my brother, sister-in-law, alexa, their boys, and our friends where my family live in qualicum beach, BC, Canada. my family started spending the month of july four years ago. it’s my favourite time of the year.

above is a 7 minute (i know! 7 minutes! so long! but there was too much going on in july to leave out) slideshow of our actual life in july. a note about the song. this song, all my friends, by LCD Soundsystem, was playing the night mark and alexa got married in a backyard in victoria, bc in 2012. it was nighttime and everyone was dancing in a giant circle holding up sparklers. last week, i heard this song again. this time all my friends was playing in mark and alexa’s backyard at their son’s 9th birthday (it was not nighttime, people were dancing, but no sparklers). i loved this song before their wedding, and love it even more now.
